Portrait Complete!

So I posted photo's of this girl all over the place the other day, but those photo's completely missed my blog! But the long anticipated (for me at least), long in progress Millie is finally complete! And I couldnt be happier.
'Mini Millie' with a photo of the real deal
She came along so fast and with very little hassle which I am stoked about. She is the first traditional I have painted that isnt a black and I must say, I quite like them! I have a couple of trade horses coming in at some stage to do who are traditional and sounds like a CM Flash as well in a month or so. But this post isnt about them, so here's more Millie spam!

Absolutely could not be happier with how she turned out, my one and only never sell for now. I have already found a body to become Magic also, a Timoteo resin that I am going to rework so his back legs aren't way out behind him.

Quiet Evening

Had a pretty quiet slow evening, meaning I got a little bored. I killed some time by playing round in photoshop, my latest two got fancy wee edits.

Here's Oberons one

Joy to the World

The ponies are here. My very first resin included!! Oberon by Sarah Rose is absolutely gorgeous,  I love him. After I fix his broken ear I'm thinkiJng bay roan would look lovely on him but we'll see once these others are done and dusted. This boy being the very first resin I've ever seen in the flesh, I am totally amazed by the detail on him, his face and mane especially. If he is anything to go by, these guys (resins) leave Breyer and Stone for dead in regards to detail etc. I'm very keen to get more in the future.

My nekkid Oberon by Sarah Rose
My other newbie is a CM Stone Pebbles ASB, I don't remember who painted it as the deal was done through my Opa in Australia. I'm going to have to find out and send them an email because the shading on him is lovely, I'm very pleased to have it in my collection.

Surprise Parcel

Well today just seems to have been a good day, about as good as a day
at school can get anyway, but im really enjoying life at the moment,
all sorts to good things have been thrown at me recently. Im sorry I've
kind of neglected the blog lately, but the models just haven't really
been on my mind, until today when I came home to a parcel sitting on
the table for me.
From Canada of all places, my thoughts were 'I haven't even been doing
anything modelly lately let alone buying or trading things'. So it was
a complete puzzle as to what had arrived in the post for me, the name
on the back rang a bell but I still couldn't think what it was.
Aand
now I remember, I traded some halters for these two with intentions of
chopping up poor old Sagr and using him as my Millie portrait. If you
hadn't got it before, I had completely forgotten about these two it was
so long ago I competed my end of the deal, but they're finally here now
and I couldn't be happier, maybe my modelly motivations have come back
at last.

Ideas Established

When a new horse shows up in the mail, I'll pull out my single tack set and chuck it on. Im not the only one
that does this, and this would be a better post if only I had some more
tack! But one thing is established, Strapless is not really a western
horse!
I don't see her winning any barrel races any time soon
What I can see her doing, is performing a low level dressage test at a pony club ODE.

Repair Day

After sitting on my shelf for more almost a year, my wee CM Running Foal by M Durdan finally got his ear back. Still in my PJ's a sat down with some baking soda, super glue and, of course, the horse.

Layer by layer his ear slowly formed, I then filed it down and sanded it to the right shape.

And painted it. And then I got a bit carried away and decided to go over his white again too.

After seeing him for so long without his ear, he looks a bit odd now that he has one!

Not bad for an older CM.
