One mangled envelope

I won't post a pic of it, it was pretty fair shredded and arrived
inside another very official looking envelope...but inside it all was a
wee halter, won by being the 40th person to like a page, Galxey
Stables, on Facebook!! :) It
is a peculiar size, too big for the Breyer Justin Morgan and PS ISH,
too small for Journeyman and Sal...oh well, I will have a horse for it
sooner or later!!

It's All In The Details

I love this set!! maybe it's just because it is my first tack set, but
I find the details on it amazing! I can't help but wonder what I will
think of a set made by someone else, someone who does this all the
time...but, I'll let the pictures do the talking for this set!

I really like this last picture...
pitty the sun was in the wrong place casting that shadow over Electra's quarters...

and here I was thinking a western set would be pretty easy to
do!!! PAH! Yeah Right!!! Not for me it won't be! A bridle, yea, maybe,
but not a saddle!! haha! it woud take me forever to finish it!!!

Homecoming

Waiting for the postie when your at home specifically waiting seems to
take twice as long for him to arrive!!!! But this time the wait was
worth it!! My horses arrivedehom today, in a box that could nearly have
held a real horse saddle!
Here's Sunny (a Breyer Traditional) showing just how big the box is..
The first I saw (once i got all the peanut things out of the way!) was Electra...
she is lovely, and her tack is just amazing!!! Definitely more pics of that to come!!
Next
to come out was Journeyman...he's so big!!! Mum doesn't know about him
yet, he's going to be rather hard to hide!!! na, I will show him to her
tonight when I "remember" about him!! I didn't get a pic of just him in
his whole body (goodness knows why!!) but I think you all know what he
looks like, but look at his dapples!!! They're so yummy!!

and then I found this surprise, tucked up behind Journeyman....this
girl is my first rider, and after reading Jennifer Buxton's articles on making dolls' boots,
I think I will revamp this one, make her some better fitting clothes
and some boots, she looks so...I don't know, untidy?? the way she
is..but either way, at the moment she has to learn to ride western!
but
wait, there's more!! Salpicardo was next to come out, this boy is so
much nicer in person than in photo's!! I love his colour!!! he just
looks rubbish in this pic!
he even still had his catalogue that comes in the boxes...
so
anyway, here's the lot that was in the big box!! (minus my guys I sent
up, these are just the ones that hitched a ride home!!!) forgot to take
a pic of just the wee white guy too, he's a body, another surprise!
he's a PS Pebbles WB...unsure what sort of clothes he wants at the
moment, but i'm loving his size!!!
and look what I noticed....WB and Journeyman are in the same sort of pose!!!
That's
all for now, but don't worry, I wont be too far away, I have the next 4
posts planned out already!!!! And then I'll have pics from the show in
Christchurch this weekend!! mwa hahahaha!!!

Bargain Find

Recently while scouring the net for cheap Breyer's I searched 'Breyer'
on trademe (as I always do) and guess what came up?? 3 custom
Traditionals!! for how much?? $30!!! So
there's only one thing I could do, I clicked Buy Now and on tuesday my
beauties arrived!!!!! I love them all...first out of the box was the
wee pinto foal..this guy was painted by M Durdan:
Other
than the broken ear, it's pretty cute! I did go over the white because
it looked a bit dirty, and because I did a wash over it, some of it
dribbled up his neck, so I'll have to go over that, probably when I fix
his ear...
Then we have the grey by Sophia Jourdanue-Bailey: Unfortunatley,
this guy's paint has cracked in places...my guess is that the plastic
has expanded?? I can't find a air hole on him either....he's definitely
not a live show horse, but that suits me as I can't live show
anyway..he should be good for photo showing when i find a nice place to
take photo's of my Trads...
but there can only be one star...
This
boy I've named Sunny, but he still needs a show name, as do the
rest...Sunny is an older CM by Deb Brown, I had to regloss his eyes,
and there is some teeny tiny rubs above his eye, but other than that
he's PERFECT! his shading is amazing and his eyes after their
reglossing are full of emotion! And
the wee snip on his nose is just so sweet! The halter arrived 3 days
before him and is made by Awesome Model Horse Tack on Facebook....which
also means, my prize is here too!!!!!
I
couldn't find any sticky stuff so the bit is unattached....but doesn't
Boom look cute??! na, it isn't for him, but will be for my Trad Millie
portrait when it is done....
