A long time overdue, Kaikoura A&P

I will just post the pics of the horses and some other neat things
about the show this year, I apologize for the lack of posts too, I
really haven't been feeling all that enthusiastic about the models
lately! I do think it is about time for another modelly post though,
maybe tomorrow...
I'm not much in the mood for writing anything either, and I don't have
much to talk about really, so I'll just leave you with the pics, and
any captions I decide are needed!
Me and Dusky

The supreme Miniature, not sure I agree, but he is a lovely colour!! SM G3 Pony colour me thinks..

There were a few people dressed up, after all, it was the 100th Centenary show!

The
next day my brother wanted to see if he could pick up any motors at the
dump, outside there was, a HUGE MODEL HORSE!!!! Well, the mold anyway!

Nelson A&P: 5 of 5

Well, last post from Nelson A&P 2011! Finally! I'm really not in
the right sort of mood to make a decent post today. Let's just say I
found out something yesterday that really destroyed my summer holidays.
Long story short it is near impossible for me to get a real horse now
to ride. Though mum told me yesterday she was thinking about swapping
her harness pony for a 14hh riding pony gelding...it confused me a bit,
why would you swap a horse for a horse when we could get Pandora for
nothing from her boss?! But, if she wants to do that, I'm not
complaining...the mini's will be gone soon, we have our last show
before christmas next weekend, then wee Magic will be going in foal
(exciting!!!) and mum's mini will quite possibly be doing the same. No
mini's means grass can grow for big horse!
Enough of my whining, here is Moutere Valley's Moonshine, or Moonie I
think they call her. She is Magic's sister, same mother. I was quite
annoyed when I saw her pictures as a foal, she is pinto, the next foal
out of Dusty (Magic's mother) after Magic and she is pinto!! They both
have pinto sires, yet Magic is just black, not a speck of white.....oh
welll, I love her all the same :)

Sorry about the bad photography there!!! I did not think to go round the other side where the sun would be on her!!!

And now I need to go check the
mail...and lunge the horses!! I'll leave you with one thing, if you
have not seen the movie Secretariat, do! It's fantastic!! I loved it!!!

Nelson A&P: 4 of 5

Sorry, I didn't manage to get on the computer during the weekend, so
here is the pictures I promised of the jumpers. Watching the jumping at
the shows would probably have to be one of my favourite parts!! The
types of horses range so much, and so does the tack. But anyway, here
goes, the jumpers of Nelson A&P!!

Can you tell I liked this horse??!!

This one reminded me a bit of Millie, and it was just an awesome horse!! Look at the bone on it!

No computer editing done on this pic, isn't it awesome!!

T'was a very pretty horse!!

And tomorrow I will post some pics of Moonshine, Magic's sister :)

Nelson A&P: 3 of 5

I think it was this one that was my brother's favourite one, so he ended up with lots or pictures orf this horse!! haha!

Imagine riding one of them!! They were
not overly tall, they are just big, like, solid big! And imagine the
power you'd feel, it would be quite a nice ride though if you got a
nice one, it'd be like riding a rocking horse! I love clydeys, not
overly sure why, but I fid them so fascinating, their feathers, their
colour everything!!
Well, yea, I don't really have much to say today...tomorrow I will post
the few pictures I took of the jumpers warming up.

Nelson A&P: 2 of 5

Carts this time!! I got my little brother to take these pictures for
mum, as she is right into her harness and stuff so I thought she would
probably want some more pictures to add to her collection!!

Such a bad way of leaving them!! I sure hope they don't store them this way!

This one is a hearse cart!

The Hearse again.

This is an interesting one, I am guessing this is how they transported logs??

This was a lovely gig!

When
we were doing our harness classes, there was about 3 photographers come
up to take pictures of us. Mum told me we made it into one of the
Nelson newspapers, she hasn't actually got a copy of the
picture/article yet though...and there is bound to be another we are
in.
Tomorrow, clydesdales!!! :)

Nelson A&P: 1 of 4 (or 5!!)

Didn't think much of this horse other than it's colour was so cool!!!

ba ha haa!! Love this pic!!! The position of the horse, the kids face, LOL!

Pixie the nutter horse!!! This is the pic I showed yesterday.

This is Moutere Valleys Moonshine, Magic's sister!

Wee Magic in the jumping. She is a hopeless jumper over hay bales!! She barely lifts her legs, just skims over the top!

Many more pics to come!! Clydesdales, and the carts they had there,
unfortunately those were not hooked up to any horses, just on display.
I took a few of the jumpers, not jumping though, because the course was
on the other side of the big truck (that the judges were in) to what we
were on, so was hidden from us really!!
Last exam tomorrow!!! WOOOO!! Then I need to get my butt into gear and
ask if I can use the paddock behind the house...you all know why by
now!! haha!
